East Lyme — A bit of ice can't stop Bob Silva from going fishing.
The Waterford resident broke a thin layer of ice with an oar Tuesday so he could get his boat away from the launch and out on Pattagansett Lake.
He said he is a die-hard fisherman and was able to go ice fishing a few times this winter but starts using his boat when the ice melts.
