SANFORD, Fla. – The search for a missing boater at a Sanford lake is continuing Sunday morning.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was dispatched around 3:45 p.m. Saturday to Lake Monroe Wayside Park after a receiving a report about two people in the water in distress.

A spokesperson with FWC said seven people were on the boat and two of them went into the water while the boat was drifting.

One person resurfaced and is alive, but the other individual, identified as Nicholas Bullock, did not resurface, officials said.

Officials said a search Saturday was conducted by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Dive team, Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Aviation, Seminole County Fire Department and FWC.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is investigating with FWC.
