Ever think about how much American fishermen have in common with farmers? Both deal with foreign competition, shrinking resources, government regulations and restrictions and a host of surprisingly similar issues in the quest to keep us all fed.
We took a tour along the South Carolina coast and talked to fishermen and shrimpers there about what it’s like these days to work on the world’s largest farm — our oceans.
In this segment we catch up with Craig Reaves of Sea Eagle Market and Good Eats, a family owned and operated retail and wholesale market and catering company in Beaufort, SC that catches what they sell.
