The Baxter County Sheriff's Office and the Gassville Police Department have announced they are continuing the investigation into a missing area juvenile.

Haley Shell was last seen on the evening of Friday, Oct. 1, in the area of Arrowhead Drive in Gassville. On Saturday, Oct. 2, the 15-year-old reportedly returned home and left a note that was found the following day.

"The Baxter County Sheriff's Office and the Gassville Police Department wants the public to continue being aware that this young lady is still missing and asks that members of the public remain alert for her and for any information as to her potential whereabouts," the two law enforcement agencies said through a joint news release regarding the ongoing investigation.

Shell is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is described as being fair-skinned with freckles and has a cut on her lower right arm that has scabbed over.

According to missing persons posters shared on the Facebook group, "Where is Haley Nicole Shell," the 15-year-old suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and left home without any of her medication.

The teenager is listed as missing with the National Crime Information Center and with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The Arkansas State Police has also issued a Silver Alert for the missing teen.

The disappearance is being worked jointly by the Sheriff's Office and the Gassville Police Department, with assistance by both the State Police and the U.S. Marshals Office.

"Hundreds of man hours have been spent following up on leads and tips, and multiple interviews have been conducted," the Sheriff's Office said through a news release. "Many search warrants and subpoenas have been issued and served on residences, cellular phones, other electronic devices, email accounts, and social media accounts searching for any evidence or clues as to the circumstances of Haley Shell's disappearance and current whereabouts."

Law enforcement is asking the public to contact the Baxter County Sheriff's Office with any information they may have regarding Shell. By agreement between the two primary agencies, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office has now been designated as the point of contact for tips and information, which will then be disseminated to the Gassville Police Department and other law enforcement agencies as needed.
