"Rumors said that Ma'ruf Amin is just a tool. What am I, a garden Hoe? I am a former Rais Aam, MUI Chairman, not a garden Hoe," said Ma'ruf in his speech during the 93rd anniversary of Nahdlatul Ulama in West Java on Thursday, February 14, 2019. According to Ma'ruf, President Jokowi would never use a Kyai as a presidential election tool and asserts that Jokowi is not that low and to suggest that someone like him is being used as a tool is an insult against Jokowi.
