JACKSONVILLE – The search for a general manager appears underway.

Louis Riddick, a former pro personnel director for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Football Team and currently an ESPN analyst, reportedly is among the candidates for the Jaguars' general manager position. He will reportedly interview Wednesday.

ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news Tuesday.

Riddick, an ESPN analyst since 2013, currently is an analyst on the network's Monday Night Football broadcasts.

Riddick, 51, served as a pro scout for the Washington Football Team from 2001-2004 and was the franchise's director of pro personnel from 2005-2007. He was a pro scout for the Eagles in 2008, assistant director of pro personnel in 2009 and director of pro personnel from 2010-2013.

Riddick played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a ninth-round selection in the 1991 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and played safety for the Atlanta Falcons (1992, 1996), Cleveland Browns (1993-1995) and Oakland Raiders (1998).

The Jaguars dismissed former General Manager David Caldwell earlier this season.
