HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Search crews continued looking for a man that went missing on a weekend fishing trip in south Hillsborough County.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Eugene Wilson was reported missing by family members on Saturday night. He was fishing on the Bypass Canal, near US 301 and east Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
While searching on Sunday, authorities found a capsized boat in the canal and fishing gear. Authorities said they do not believe foul play is suspected.
The Sheriff’s Office dive team arrived at the scene Monday morning. They are working from a dock located within Veterans Park.
