The annual Steam Winter Sale is underway now — and with it, voting for The Steam Awards for 2020. The sale lasts until Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m. EST and, as usual, offers steep discounts on big names and current releases.
Right now, there are dozens (if not actually thousands) of games going for $10 or less, and more being offered at up to 75% off their list price. That includes Ark: Survival Evolved at $9.99 (originally $49.99), Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition (half-off at $9.99), Far Cry New Dawn at $9.99 (down from $39.99) and Watch Dogs 2 at $9.99 (usually $49.99).
Other special offers include Ace Combat: Skies Unknown at $19.79 (down from $59.99); Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition at $39.99 ($10 off), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (GOTY edition) at $38.99 (35% off), and Death Stranding at $29.99 (half off).
For the 2020 Steam Awards, Valve has selected five nominees in 10 different categories, and not all of the candidates are games that launched in 2020. Categories range from “Outstanding Visual Style” to “Best Game You Suck At,” and the Game of the Year contenders include 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and 2019’s Death Stranding — although that did come to Steam in July 2020. Voting is open through Jan. 3 at noon EST.
