TOWAMENSING TWP., Pa. - The Carbon County coroner's office has identified the man who's body was found Friday by rescue crews in Beltzville Lake.
William Shipe Jr., 70, of Allentown, died as a result of drowning, according to the coroner's office.
A dive team found the Shipe's body at Beltzville Lake during the search Friday morning, according to a spokesperson for the DCNR.

The search began Thursday night after Shipe's wife reported her husband had not returned home from ice fishing. Shipe's car was parked in the Preachers Camp parking lot, but there was no sign of him.
Rescue crews searched the lake from about 8-11 p.m. Thursday, then resumed the search Friday morning until they found his body.
This week was unseasonably mild, with Thursday's temperatures reaching about 70 degrees.
Barry Benson fishes here in the summer because, he says, ice fishing can be risky.
"With ice fishing, you've got to be careful. It's got to be a minimum of 4 inches to feel safe and they drill holes to put the tip ups in to catch fish," Benson said.
Even more of a risk, Benson says, is going ice fishing alone.
"Because if one man goes in the other man can at least call for somebody to get them out here and help them get out of the water but by yourself you can't do it," Benson said.
A spokesperson with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources says park managers do not monitor for ice safety, but offer safety tips on their website.
