San Francisco police were investigating a possible kidnapping that occurred early in the morning on Tuesday, near Fisherman’s Wharf.

Officers from Central Station responded to calls at 1:54 a.m. on the 200 block of Beach Street and began a missing person investigation, canvassing the area for evidence and witnesses “to no avail,” according Officer Robert Rueca, a police spokesperson.

The San Francisco Police Department Special Victims Unit is leading the effort to find the person, who police have yet to identify, in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies.

The case coincided with reports of a missing Black, trans woman, Isa Dessalines, which began circulating on social media Wednesday with the hashtag “#FindIsa.”

Police urged anyone with information to contact SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
