News Body of fisherman recovered on Center Hill Lake in Crossville 1:57 PM, Apr 30 - NewsChannel5.com

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The body of a missing fisherman was found on Center Hill Lake Wednesday afternoon, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) said.

36-year-old Quinn Hogan from Putnam County was reported missing by friends Wednesday morning after they found his truck at the Cookeville boat dock. Hogan was reported as having gone fishing Tuesday.

TWRA officers responded to the call just after 11 a.m. Wednesday. Three TWRA boats and two Dekalb County rescue boats searched and found Hogan's bass fishing boat around 12:30 p.m. It was adrift in a cove near the Cookeville boat dock.

Using GPS forensic tracking, the TWRA officers were able to determine the area the boat first went adrift. TWRA's remote-operated vehicle was then deployed. It quickly found Hogan's body around 4:30 p.m. in eight feet of water, near the area where the boat was found.

Hogan was wearing a personal flotation device, which wasn't inflated when he was found.

Hogan's body was taken to the Davidson County medical examiner's office.

This incident is still under investigation.

The TWRA wishes to remind boaters to wear life jackers and let friends and family know of any boating plans.
